Spears, Moore, Rebman & Williams is a full-service mid-sized law firm located in Chattanooga, Tennessee. We practice predominately in southeastern Tennessee and northern Georgia but also represent clients in many other areas of the country. SMRW WELCOMES ASSOCIATE ANNA-MARIE DAVENPORT
Associate Anna Marie Davenport joined the firm in 2008 after completing a one-year judicial clerkship with the Chancery Court for the 11th Judicial District of Tennessee. She is a 2007 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Associate Drew H. Reynolds joined the firm in September of 2008 after graduating from the University of Tennessee College of Law. His practice centers primarily in the areas of civil litigation and medical malpractice.

Associate Leslie Foster joined the firm in September of 2008 after graduating from Mississippi College School of Law. Her practice centers primarily in the areas of medical malpractice and civil litigation.
J.B. BENNETT APPOINTED TO SERVE ON THE HAMILTON COUNTY ELECTION COMMISSION
Mr. Bennett was recently appointed by several local State legislators to serve on the five-member Commission. The Election Commission is a bipartisan organization charged with overseeing elections in Hamilton County.
W. FERBER TRACY APPOINTED AS PRESIDENT OF HOSANNA BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Jennifer Kent Selected to Serve as one of the Two Eastern TN Delegates to the Exec. Council of the TN Bar Assoc. Estate Planning & Probate Section.
The Executive Council is the leadership body responsible for providing learning opportunities for attorneys across Tennessee in the Trusts and Estates practice area. The Council hosts an annual conference for practitioners, publishes an e-newsletter to all Section members, holds e-forums on hot topics in the law and monitors and proposes new state legislation involving estate law.
JENNIFER KENT WAS ACCEPTED AS A MEMBER OF THE ESTATE PLANNING COUNCIL OF CHATTANOOGA.
This is an interdisciplinary organization for professionals involved in estate planning. It provides quality education in the estate planning to its members, engages in activities to continuously improve services, promotes respect and understanding among professionals, and advances public knowledge of the concept of estate planning.
Mark Ramsey honored at PRO BONO Night 2007
The Chattanooga Bar Association's Pro Bono Committee and Young Lawyers Division presented Pro Bono Night 2007 on May 24. The evening honored local attorneys Kenneth Fritz, James Hooper, Leslie McWilliams, and Mark Ramsey for their pro bono contributions to the citizens of Hamilton Country and announced the recipient of the annual Pro Bono Firm of the Year Award.
W. FERBER TRACY APPOINTED BY THE SUPREME COURT
as the chairman of the Board of Professional Responsibility for 2007. Mr. Tracy has been a valuable member of the Board since he was appointed in 2002. The Board was initiated by the Supreme Court of TN in 1976 to aid in supervising the ethical conduct of attorneys. It is comprised of nine lawyer members and three non-lawyer members who offer a balanced perspective of the professional responsibilities of the legal profession. Some of the Board’s activities include published ethics opinions, disciplinary measures, consumer assistance, and lawyer assistance.
W. FERBER TRACY RECEIVES HUMANITARIAN AWARD
On January 15, 2008, W. Ferber Tracy was awarded The Ralph H. Kelley Humanitarian Award by the Chattanooga Bar Association for his exemplary service to the community. Mr. Tracy dedicates much of his time to the improvement and preservation of the lives, property and dignity of others through his involvement with groups such as The Hosanna Community, a residential community in Chattanooga for physically handicapped individuals and the Tennessee Board of Professional Responsibility for two 3-year terms, being appointed chair for 2007.
